In addition to this annotated list of apps and ideas, EdTechTeacher\u2019s Greg Kulowiec and Beth Holland have recently completed a new type of resource for teachers looking to integrate iPads into the their curricula. Check out The iPad As…<\/a><\/strong> for a list of their favorite apps organized by learning goal. They will continue to also maintain the\u00a0Diigo Group<\/a>\u00a0as well as build on this new list.<\/p>\n

Learning Without Boundaries<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Virginia Department of Education helped to create this list of apps for students. You can download them from the Apple App Store. Some of them include digital texts from Pearson publishers.<\/p>\n

Middle School Math 7th Grade<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

This free app is designed to specifically address middle school math skills. Topics include negative numbers, absolute value, and order of operations.<\/p>\n

Scribble Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

I Education Apps Review – iBooks<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Murky Reef Lite – 1st – 2nd Grade Reading, Science & Math<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Designed for 1st-2nd grade students, Murky Reef combines reading and math skills in the context of exploring a coral reef. This is the free version, though there is a more robust version available for $3.99. Students can review numbers, sight words, and vocabulary. There is some reporting built in.<\/p>\n
