{"id":54388,"date":"2021-08-25T13:43:01","date_gmt":"2021-08-25T17:43:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/edtechteacher.org\/?p=54388"},"modified":"2022-07-26T14:54:01","modified_gmt":"2022-07-26T18:54:01","slug":"creating-educational-presentations-and-videos-in-canva-for-edu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/edtechteacher.org\/creating-educational-presentations-and-videos-in-canva-for-edu\/","title":{"rendered":"Creating Educational Presentations and Videos in Canva for EDU"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>For years, I\u2019ve been an advocate of utilizing a combination of a slideshow program and a screen recorder to create videos.&nbsp; Through this process, teachers can share new ideas, teach content, explain policies and procedures, and even introduce themselves to new parents and students.&nbsp; Likewise, students can express their creativity while demonstrating their understanding of content by creating a slideshow.&nbsp; The ability to augment a slideshow with the creator\u2019s voice brings ideas and presentations to life while augmenting communication and personalizing the experience.&nbsp; It\u2019s also a wonderful way to practice speaking and listening skills and create a polished presentation that can be published to a wider audience.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we compare Canva to programs such as Google Slides, one unique feature is the ability to seamlessly create a video from a set of slides.\u00a0 Gone is the need for two programs; the presentation and video recording can both be created right within Canva.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canva.com\/video-editor\/\">So Canva becomes a one-stop shop for creating video presentations.<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/: https:\/\/www.canva.com\/video-editor\/\">\u00a0<\/a>   \u00a0<strong>Canva&#8217;s Video Editor, where you can create videos that educate, inspire, and entertain diverse audiences within a few clicks has been revamped.  Please check it out!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Slides can be designed by the student, or they can utilize one of the hundreds of premade templates available in Canva.&nbsp; Once the presentation is created, teachers and students can utilize the <em>Present and Record<\/em> feature.&nbsp; The Present and Record option launches the Canva \u201cRecording Studio\u201d through which they narrate their slides.&nbsp; A small circle with a video of them appears as well.&nbsp; The combination of audio and video adds a personal touch, bringing the slides to life. &nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As we compare Canva to programs such as Google Slides, one unique feature is the ability to seamlessly create a video from a set of slides.
